Stefan Landgraf's Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Kim Landgraf. For the past 27 (28 in May!) I have had the great fortune of being married to a wonderful man named Stefan. Within the nearly 28 years we have been together, we have been blessed with six amazing children. Stefan is a hardworking, super hero example of a husband, best friend, and father. He is the type of man who puts his family above all else and has many times over, without hesitation, sacrificed his personal needs and wants for the benefit and happiness of his family. Unfortunately, just a few days ago, Stefan suffered a debilitating stroke that has left him unable to speak and without the use of the right side of his body. He is currently in hospital and doctors are still trying to determine if the reason for his stroke could be due to an undetected aneurism.

Stefan was in the process of switching jobs when this horrible event occurred and has left him in career limbo. Stefan's prognosis of recovery and his ability to return to work are two uncertainties whose outcomes hinge upon the possible nefarious origin of his stroke. The cost of his current ICU care, extended hospital stay and possible months of in-house extensive physical therapy, as well as the unknown as to whether he will recover are placing a crushing weight upon us as Stefan struggles to find his way within and without of this new reality.
