Steampunk Portable Pizza Oven

The Duluth Forging Community has been been teaching Blacksmithing in Duluth for ten

years, and changes are coming for us in 18-24 months. The Armory next door is

scheduled to be remodeled for public/business use which is a great thing! However, we

are in the annex next door, and the building will be torn down to make more room for

Armory parking.

At this time, the plan is for us to move into the Amory to continue teaching our craft. The

move will take funds we currently lack. We do have a considerable quantity of tools and
equipment that will need to be moved and installed.  Plus we will need to finish the buildout
of our space to make it safe and up to code for having live fire and hot metal.

We are not asking for direct funds for this (though we won't turn any away who might

want to do such a thing). But instead, we are planning on using our combined skills to

create a piece of functional art. A Steampunk inspired portable pizza oven is our goal,

which we plan to auction off for a greater return, making your money go even further.

The custom trailer we have designed to carry the oven will cost $6000 and without that,

we can't even get started.

We need your help to raise $6000 to pay for the trailer. The total cost to build the

Steampunk pizza oven will be between $10k-11k, so any funds that go above and

beyond the original $6,000 will help purchase the rest of the material needed to

complete the project.

We plan to create YouTube videos of the build, documenting it as we go along. When it

is completed, you will be invited to a firing party to celebrate with freshly baked pizza

from the new oven. Following the firing party, it will be auctioned off to the highest

bidder.
