On Christmas Eve, Ste Jones, his partner Ashley, and their son Charlie were involved in a serious car accident while driving home from watching a Christmas film.

Charlie was incredibly lucky and came away without serious injury. Ashley and Ste were both taken to the hospital. Ashley underwent major surgery and remains in the hospital, showing unbelievable strength through everything she has been faced with. Ste was placed into a coma following the accident and, heartbreakingly, has since passed away.

Ste Jones was an incredible person and an even more incredible dad, partner, and grassroots football coach. He dedicated so much of his life to helping children grow, not just as footballers, but as people. He always went the extra mile for his kids, putting fun first, making everyone feel included, and treating every child as if they were his own.

Ste had a huge impact across grassroots football, particularly through his work with Jennings Football Academy and Stocky Bilbao. His kindness, time, and passion will never be forgotten, and he is already deeply missed by so many players, parents, and fellow coaches.

Nothing can ever fill the void left for Ashley and Charlie after such a devastating loss. Their lives have been turned upside down in ways no family should have to face. We have set up this page to help support them during this unimaginably difficult time, to ease some of the financial pressure and allow them to focus on healing and being together.
