Team Sam remains strong with love, friendship and sport!!
At just 10 years old, Sam was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive pediatric cancer, Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT), that has only been found in 1000 kids worldwide. Last year Sam underwent seven rounds of aggressive high dose chemotherapy, an eight hour abdominal surgery and twenty rounds of whole abdominal radiation, more treatment than anyone would need in a lifetime. In July 2015, he was given the all clear for cancer. Unfortunately in February this year, scans showed that Sam’s tumors had returned.
Drawing on Sam’s strength, we have joined forces to fight for his future.
Sam is now 11 years old and is in Grade 5 at the International School of Phnom Penh (ISPP). Over the course of his treatment, he has warmed the hearts of many with his infectious smile, courage and love of sport.
But as strong as Sam is, he and his family need our help. We hope to raise money for medical expenses not covered by insurance, living expenses, and to contribute to Sam’s bucket list of fun things to do.
We will be grateful for any donation you are able to make, and if you cannot donate, please send words of encouragement, love and prayers Sam’s way. Please spread this message far and wide to your friends and family who might also like to support Sam.
Stay Strong Sam!!
