Dave's Stayin Alive but his disability has run out

Donation protected
David is appealing to his friend, families, and other human beings to support in whatever amount they can to help offset the extreme cost of his hospice care reassuring him that he will pass in comfort.

As many of his close friends know, about 16 months ago, David Eichel was diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal lung cancer.  This was back on January 15th of 2018.  At that time, David was given approximately six months on the outside.

Well, now 16 months later, Dave has not only survived, Dave has thrived, and is currently living in a long term hospice in Woodland Hills, David has now lived here for over a year, and is grateful for the care he is receiving; as it has extended his precious life; he now considers the hospice his home.

Unfortunately, David’s state disability has run out, and as anyone who knows Dave knows that he truly wants to be able to go back to work. In fact, he did file for unemployment, but was told that it is not possible to return to work with Stage 4 terminal lung cancer. Therefore, he is denied benefits even though he paid into that system; Stayin Alive while not being able to to work or earn an income.

As those of us who know and love David, we know he has always been a man who stood tall and proud; even through the painful reality of his illness. David has thrived and survived. Those that know David, know that his story is extremely unique and inspirational. Dave is a man who shows what it is to persist and subsist; even outlasting his funding.

David is a shining light of a person who deserves the support of his friends, families, and other human beings.  Any support whatsoever will be greatly appreciated.

Currently, David is in a 24 hour hospice in which the cost exceeds over $4500 a month. David's medications and other necessities are provided by in part by his social security as well as his medical insurance. The goal of the GoFundMe campaign is going to be set at $7,500 which is based on funding the next two months of stay in the hospice (his home) ...

Please give whatever you can to support Dave's passing. David has committed that, should he pass prior to the use of any fund raised, the remaining funds will be donated to 2 charitable organizations (The Humane Society) and (Cri-Help)

It's as much gratitude, that I can post this on his behalf of my long time friend and colleague; and say thank you for taking the time to read the above. We all hope your heart has been warmed, shined and touched.

The sole goal of raising this money is so David Eichel can comfortably have the basic financial support he needs up to his transition.

Blessings and Thank you.
