Stay by Dad’s side
It is extremely hard to ask for help. That being said, it has reached a point where that is our only option.
Our Dad was admitted to the hospital last Friday in Bonners Ferry after being sick for 3 weeks. Afterrunning tests, they decided to lifeflight him to Sacred Heart for a bleeding aneurysm in his brain. Both Brandon and I took off from home to be by his side. He underwent brain surgery on Saturday and is now in ICU for at least the next week and then an unknown length of time in the hospital.
We are extremely grateful that our Dad is still herewith us as he plays such a pertinent part in both our lives, along with all of his family and friends. All Brandon and I want to do is stay by his side and do whatever we can to take care of him and help with his recovery. Our current priorities are to make sure we have the funds to continue to be by my dads side as long as possible. We are trying to stay at thehotel located 3 minutes away to stay as close as possible. We have dropped everything, including our sources of income to make our Dad top priority.
Our Dad is such a strong person and has gotten both Brandon and I through so many difficult times in our lives. He has always been there for us. Always.
We are unsure at this time how long recovery will be and what exactly that all entails. What we do know is our normal lives have come to a halt and obviously didn’t plan for this to happen. I’m not sure anybody can plan for something like this to happen. We are so grateful for the amount of emotional support we have received, and everyone asking us to let them know if we need anything. It is so hard to ask for financial help, but several have suggested a fundraiser and at this point that needs to be in motion.
Thank you so much for your consideration and wellwishes during this difficult time. Our Dad has survived a medical condition that only 1 in 12 people will. We are again, extremely grateful for this miracleand want to see this through by his side. Thank you in advance, Love Brandon and Erin
