Hi, my name is Crissy - living in Australia but originally from Rio Grande do Sul. Many people have lost their lives, loved ones and irreplaceable possessions because of the worst flood event in Brazils history (which is still ongoing). I am hoping to raise some money to help as many people as possible.

Heavy rains in south of Brazil, state of Rio Grande do Sul killed 39 people, with another 68 still missing, the state civil defense agency said Friday, as record-breaking floods devastated cities and forced thousands to leave their homes.

After watching and trying to donate and post to help on social media I decided that I need to do more. I know so many people that lost everything, so many deaths, kids, animals… and I am in the other side of all this, have my house, my family, I am warm, have food on my plate.

I CAN’T JUST WATCH THIS FROM A DISTANCE AND NOT GET MORE INVOLVED.

Please, any amount can help. Think that you have everything, you have your warm place, food, your comfortable bed and so many people have lost everything and have no idea when and how long they will be able to have it again.

I am from the south of Brazil (but now living in Australia). All of my family and most of my friends are still living in the south of Brazil and have been severely impacted by these floods. I really appreciate all of your help so far! I am directing these funds to three people in particular who I trust implicitly and are actively helping people rebuild their lives and recover. In particular, this includes Conrado (São Leopoldo), Débora (Sapucaia), Luciane (porto alegre). These people have been using funds to help those around them and I am so grateful to have been able to help in this way. Thank you all again very much!
