On October 16th, 2019, we said farewell to a woman, wife, mother, educator, and friend. Our lady Sarah Stassus fought and won in so many ways. She took on her diagnosis with unparalleled grace and strength. She maintained every bit of her spunk, humor, and her love for her family, friends, and puppies as she was dealt an impossible hand. She leaves behind her unwaveringly devoted husband Michael, daughters Jillian and Lindsay, son-in-law Syed, her father William, her two sisters Jane and Anne, her precious fur babies Gus Brown and Daisy Smoochie Roo, and an army of students, fellow educators, and friends from near and far.
As friends of the Stassus family, we know how genuinely kind, humble, and accepting they are. We are honored to have shared a part of our lives with Sarah. In honoring her, we set up this fundraiser to show our love and corresponding grief to those she leaves behind.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at 12:30 p.m with a reception that follows until 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at Plainfield North High School, 12005 248th Ave., Plainfield, Illinois.
