Stash has the Big C
Not even sure where to begin, so I guess I'll begin with... Stash has cancer. Thankfully (if there is such a thing) it's in his front right leg, and an amputation would give him a few more years. Leave him with the leg... and who knows? Watching my Mr. Man walk around in pain and sick is hard to do, and I'd rather not watch him waste away to nothing.
Stash and I have been together for 10 years. TEN YEARS! Where has the time gone?! I don't even know... Together we have lived in seven apartments, had 12 or so roommates, had one million cuddles, shared some good cries, and had lots and lots of laughs. He always knows when I'm sad and need a friend, as well as when I've just crawled into bed and it's prime time for me to give him all the scratches. He's been a big brother to a million cats, a dog, a bunny (sort of) and even a lizard!
I know that pets die and that when they get sick... most people put them down, or let them live out their days comfortably stoned and pain-freeish, but I truly feel neither of these is the option for us. My Bubbalumps is as healthy, happy, ornery and stubborn as always, and there's no way I could put him down now, or wait by and watch him slowly suffer and die. If I could just ensure him a few more years of life...
So, I turn to you... all I ask is a $5 donation and a share, to see who this will actually reach. 77% of my Boston life has been with Stash!! He's fantastic. I've only met one person in my life (so so sorry Danny) who he didn't like, and I'm sure he'd help you out. If he could. Maybe. He might share his food. But probably not. He's real serious about his food.
If you can't help Mr. Sneaky Stash out financially, again... please just share. Or send healthy and healing vibes his way. Or maybe a crinkly toy.
Stash needs his right front leg completely removed and it will cost between $3-5k. This needs to happen as soon as possible, to cut off (see what I did there?) any chances of the cancer spreading. I would do this tomorrow if I could, but since I can't.... *looks out at all of you*
Thanks
