Supporting the Starzl Family

Hi, I'm Jennifer Zick, sister-in-law to Jim Starzl, Bob's son.

Update as of 9/8/2023: This morning, surrounded by his family, Bob Starzl passed peacefully into his eternal home. As the Starzl family prepares to lay their husband / dad / grandpa to rest, I hope we can continue to bless them with an outpouring of generosity, love & prayers. Thank you so much to everyone who has already donated. I know the Starzls are so grateful.

Our hearts are breaking for the Starzl family, who are so suddenly facing the loss of their beloved husband / dad / grandpa. For those who have been following Bob's Caring Bridge site for the past week, you understand the shock that the family is experiencing - from Bob's sudden heart block, to his hard fall and subsequent brain injury, to the news of his irreversible condition - and his transition into comfort care.

I know that the Starzl family is deeply loved by a wide community of family and friends - and we all want to wrap our arms around them at this time, and show them a tangible expression of our care and shared grief.

As you can imagine, medical and family expenses quickly pile up in these unexpected situations. I know that it would be a big relief for Alice and the entire family if they didn't have to worry about how they will cover hospital bills, travel, and other arrangements at this time.

I hope you will join me in the cause of Supporting the Starzl family through this fund. Any gift will be much appreciated - and funds will be directly deposited in a Starzl family account.

Knowing Bob & Alice, I have to believe that they have a community full of good people surrounding them with prayer, strength, and love.
