Housing for Homeless Families - Non-Profit Launch

We all know homelessness is an ever-growing problem today. We only have to drive through any city in the U.S. today to see hundreds of people living in tents. Some people are there because they have drug or alcohol addictions that have consumed their lives, while others are there because they lost their job and they have children, not allowing them to work because of their inability to afford childcare. Single-parent families can be found in homeless shelters all across America. We all know at least 1-2 single parents who are struggling to survive.

The impact of homelessness on children is long-lasting and profound. that have no home are profound. According to the Urban Institute Initiative, many social issues stem from a history of unstable, unaffordable, and poor-quality housing. Research shows that housing is the first rung on the ladder to economic opportunity for individuals and that a person’s access to opportunity is intrinsically linked with that of the community at large.

And thus we arrive at our mission: Donate Homes Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity that is dedicated to helping underprivileged children and single-parent families in the arenas of education, and psychological development by assisting them in establishing stable housing. In conjunction with other community services/counseling, we work to provide the first step on the road to economic recovery...Housing.
