Kente Cones - Phase II

Hi! Ashley and Charles here! We are first-generation entrepreneurs and co-founders of Kente Cones LLC, an award-winning Afro-American inspired ice cream pop-up store that features homemade flavors made with Fairtrade ingredients. Some of our ingredients include cocoa powder from Ghana, Madagascar vanilla beans and items from local farms.

Each flavor is handcrafted in Brooklyn, New York and our mission is to offer homemade gourmet products while exercising group economics and celebrating the contributions of Africa and the Diaspora.

Since launching in May 2022, we've worked with many businesses, schools and non-profit organizations. Currently, we're in Phase I of III of operations and recently were awarded the opportunity to operate in the vibrant neighborhood of Fort Greene and Flatbush! As this is an opportunity we could not refuse, we need your help!

Our goal is to raise $5,000 and host the grand opening of our seasonal pop-up location in Fort Greene on Saturday, June 17th and on Flatbush Avenue at 333 Lounge in July 2023! We would appreciate any donations to help make this possible! Funds received will go towards purchasing new equipment, inventory, developing new flavors and securing the permits/licenses required for operation.

Be sure to check us out every weekend starting June 17th in Fort Greene on the corner of Dekalb and Carlton until September/October 2023! More details to follow on the Flatbush Avenue residency!
