StartingBloc Fundraiser

Hello friends and family! As you know, I have been in the social impact sector for awhile now, mentoring young leaders to make positive change in their communities from the inside out.
Now I am ready to receive some mentorship myself and pay it forward! I have been accepted to the StartingBloc Fellowship in New York City this August. StartingBloc is a social innovation Fellowship that educates, inspires and connects emerging leaders to drive social innovation across sectors. with a community of over 2,500 international Fellows. The Fellowship's mission is to support "leaders crafting a future that works for all beings."
I have been tasked with fundraising $1,500 for the fellowship. I am reaching out to you to ask for your support in not only raising the funds needed to participate in this fellowship, but also your words of encouragement as I take this opportunity for learning and personal growth.
I have decided to fund raise based on two of my favorite things: art and education. Here's how you can support:
ANYWHERE
-Make a contribution here! Any amount helps
-Request a hand printed item! See more here .
-Buy a raffle ticket for the film screening below! More details to come
-Spread the word about the classes and film screening below to your friends in DC
WASHINGTON DC
-Take an art class with me! I will be leading an art class out of my home where I will be teaching techniques for block printing on fabric. Print your own scarf, pouch or tea towel! Sign up here if you are interested.
-Attend a film screening! On August 2nd, I will be screening the film Landfillharmonic , a film that follows the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura, a Paraguayan musical group that plays instruments made entirely out of garbage. When their story goes viral, the orchestra is catapulted into the global spotlight. RSVP here if interested.
With gratitude,
Rachel
