Starting over - the Tehm and Bailey story (Bowmanville Fire)

My son Tehm Johnson and his fiancé Bailey Cook (with their 2 cats Kevin the Cat and Baby Girl) were evacuated from their home around midnight this past Wednesday March 5th. They are safe but this fire was fierce and has destroyed their home along with 30+ others. Everyone is in shock. What a devastating blow to a young couple who are recently engaged and in the thick of planning their wedding for June 2026. There has been such an outpouring of support and while we are all grateful for Red Cross and other community organizations/persons, there are some really tough times ahead. First and foremost finding another place to live. While they cannnot accept physical donations to help rebuild at this time, they can accept monetary donations. Tehm drives tow and has lost all his gear. Bailey works admin and they both hope to be back to work in a few days but navigating the financial details are proving to be difficult. These kids are kind and generous to all, and hard workers with strong ethics. Tehm and Bailey are humble, not wanting to ask for help but they do need it.
