Starting over from homelessness

Hello everyone,

My sister, Bree, and I are currently living in my car due to homelessness. I lost my job last year when my leg, foot and ankle got broken. We've been struggling to make ends meet for a while, and we're barely holding on. Now we're stranded out here in this brutal Texas heat.

After over 700 job applications and over 150 interviews, I've only managed to get a part-time job, and I'm still actively looking for more work but haven't had any luck. I've been doing everything I possibly can to get out of this rut that I seem to have found myself in. Bree also has a part-time job, but it's still not enough to sustain us, even when combined with my newly acquired part-time job.

We are in a very bad place right now, but we have a plan. We are planning to relocate to start over, new place and new opportunities kind of thing. We've already sold off most of the things that we own, but unfortunately, we are still short of what we need.

I've been contemplating if I should ask for help or not. I really wanted to make things work on my own. If we can just get out there, then we will have a place to stay and be able to get back up from all of this.
