Starting Over after the Devastating Fire

My name is Elsa Perez and I’ve started this fundraiser because on January 30, 2023 at 11:24 am Our home has caught fire and burned down.

My husband and I have suffered a tragic loss. Let me begin by saying, In our tragic loss there are other people trying to capitalize on our misfortune by claiming this loss as their own and it pains me. Because for us the loss is real. We have lost Everything. We have nothing but the clothing we wore to start that day. First and foremost I want to thank god, my husband was able to get out before the fire spread. He suffered some burns to his hand and face but he is still with us, and I thank God for making a way out.

Second I want to thank the FDNY for their rapid response time and the hard work they put forth to control this Three Alarm Fire.

Third, I want to thank everyone who has extended prayers, blessings and comforting words for us in this devastating time.

We have lost everything and have to rebuild our lives. We need everything, from housing to clothing, all of life’s bare necessities so we can move forward. My plea is, if you can help in any way to start anew it would be enormously appreciated. I come to you humble as asking for help in any way isn’t something I do as I’m usually a private person.

For those that can help with donations, you are truly appreciated, for those who can’t help financially, send prayers and blessing as these too, will help get us through the rough times ahead.
