Starting Over After Surgery — Your Support Means Everything
Donation protected
I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of someone very close to me who is going through one of the hardest chapters of their life.
They recently underwent extensive surgery on their right foot and are currently in an acute rehabilitation facility — unable to walk, work, or care for themselves. While they focus on healing through therapy and recovery, they are also facing a heartbreaking reality: they will no longer have a place to live once discharged.
They’ve chosen to remain anonymous, and I completely respect that. I can personally vouch that this story is real, urgent, and very close to my heart.
Below is the message they’ve written to share their situation:
I’m reaching out during one of the most challenging moments of my life — physically, emotionally, and financially.
I recently underwent extensive reconstructive surgery on my right foot. I am currently in an acute rehabilitation facility, unable to walk or care for myself, and working hard through therapy to regain mobility and independence.
While I focus on healing, I’m also facing a heartbreaking reality: I will no longer have a home once I’m discharged from rehab. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I need to relocate and completely start over — all while still recovering and unable to return to work.
This fundraiser is my way of asking for support to make that transition possible. Your kindness will help me cover:
• Emergency relocation and moving expenses
• Temporary housing and basic living essentials
• Out-of-pocket medical and rehabilitation costs
• Critical living expenses while I recover and cannot work
Asking for help is not easy, but I’m doing so because I truly need it. If you’re able to donate — in any amount — or share this with others, you’ll be helping me create a foundation to rebuild my life and recover with dignity.
The fundraising goal is $6,500 — this amount will provide a lifeline through the weeks and months ahead as I work to heal and find stability again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my story, offering support, and helping me believe that brighter days are possible.
