Last night around midnight, my family lost our home and our car in a flood. I woke up to water at the top of my bed, and my two dogs and I had to swim to safety. Thankfully my kids were not home when it happened, but we are now homeless and trying to figure out how to start over from almost nothing.

Right now, we are staying at my oldest daughter's apartment until we can find another place to go. Everything has happened so fast, and I am still trying to get to work and provide for my family while we deal with losing so much. We are starting over from clothing, food, transportation, and the basic things we need every day.

The donations from this fundraiser will help us with the most urgent needs first: finding a place to live and getting a car so I can keep working and take care of my family. I only have a few hundred dollars to my name right now, so any support will make a real difference for us as we try to get back on our feet.
