Starting Over After Devastation

Hello all and thank you for taking the time to visit my Mom's page.  My name is Scarlett and I have started this page on behalf of my Mother, Patricia Drinnen. As most of you know, Goldsboro, North Carolina and surrounding towns have been devasted by Hurricane Matthew. They have experienced historic flooding since the storm and many people have lost everything.  My Mother's house for the last 10 years has been on the banks of the Neuse River.  My Mother was evacuated from her home October 9, 2016 with only a few minutes to grab some things. The river was rising and she needed to leave immediately. My mother grabbed her dog, medication, a couple outfits, pictures of my sister and I, and my grandfathers ashes....That was it. October 15, 2016 my mother was able to see her home by boat. Everything is destroyed.....My mother also learned earlier in the week, that her renter's  insurance does not cover flooding.
  Here is where you guys come in....My mother works hard despite her chronic illness and poor health.. There is no savings or stocks.....She literally has been left with nothing. My heart breaks knowing I cannot fix this financially. While most things are materialistic, every memory from our childhood and hers, and things that cannot be replaced, are gone.  My Mom needs to start over...Find a place to call home.....A bed to rest her head on.....Every donation will help acheive this goal. All donations raised will go to securing a residence, deposits, utilities, and basic furnishings and necessities. I generally do not ask for anything from anybody, but Im calling on everyone I know to please help my Mom. Thank you so much. If you can't donate, please share.
