Hi, my name is Caroline, and I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart.

What was supposed to be my first solo vacation—something long overdue—turned into a weekend that shook our entire world. In less than 24 hours, both of my children were involved in separate car accidents. Miraculously, they both walked away without physical injuries. For that alone, I’m endlessly grateful.

But the damage was total—both vehicles were completely destroyed.

To make matters even more complicated, my son Christopher was driving with only a learner’s permit and has received several citations as a result. On top of losing both vehicles, we’re now also facing fines, legal fees, and added financial strain.

We were already struggling before this happened and I was doing everything I could to stay afloat. Now we’re without transportation, without a safety net, and trying to figure out how to:

• Get to and from work and school

• Move my daughter Claire into college

• Pay for insurance deductibles, legal fees and citation costs

• Cover basic living expenses while trying to rebuild

This has been overwhelming. Starting over isn’t new for me, but doing it again while out of resources is a different kind of hard.
