Hi, I'm Keara Caskey. I'm starting this account because I just don't know what else to do. I'm desperate! I'm doing everything I can to get my life back together. I'm starting from rock bottom, which means zero! I am trying so hard to find a really good paying job, but no one is giving me a chance! I have two jobs already, but they are more like seasonal jobs and they don't pay enough for what I need to pay for! My problem is I'm still dealing with legal issues from years ago! Yes, I have a past just like everyone else! Yes, I was stupid and young once and I made mistakes! I didn't think that I would have to spend the rest of my life paying for them! I have supervised probation, supervised drug tests, I have to go to AA/NA classes, I also have to do substance abuse evaluation, 20 hours of community service, and all this while also trying to work as long as I can get someone to give me a full-time job with what's on my record!

I'm going to list how much I have to pay for all this just so you know why I need the help! I'm drowning right now and I know our justice system doesn't care at all and they never will! People like me who only have misdemeanors get treated like we are felons every day, yet child rapists get off scot-free?!?!? It's ridiculous!

Probation office fee - $40/month

Probation drug test fee - $40/week

DA fines - $40/month

Substance abuse evaluation - $200/one-time fee

Court Clerk fines - $40/month

That's $160 extra a month on top of the $200 I have to have when I'm able to pay for the substance abuse evaluation, on top of the things I already pay for daily like gas and everyday expenses! I'm looking at doing this for years and I can't do that without completely screwing myself, which I know is what they want! Our justice system is so messed up. I need help to get out of it! I will never get my kids back and have the life I deserve just like any other person who is actually trying if I have to keep giving them money every time I turn around! Please, if anyone can, anything at all will help! Anything! I know times are hard for everyone and even a prayer is helping! Thank you for your time!!
