Starting a Social Movement
My name is Jonathan Tong and I’m a public high school teacher and father of two college-age daughters.
I’m doing this because I’ve had enough of all the craziness in the world. A planet speeding toward catastrophic climate change, and a government run by people determined to make it WORSE, not better.
A government run by people who have openly betrayed our country to white supremacists, Neo-Nazis, and the Russian government.
Endless cycles of school shootings, thoughts and prayers, anger and frustration, nothing getting done. Over and over and over. My students and my children deserve better than this, and so do yours.
I want to show my students and all youth in America how to start a social movement to save the world and their futures. It will be a Youth Revolution.
I've created a website detailing what our agenda is, and how we will achieve our goals by using non-violent resistance tactics that have already worked in countries far worse off than ours.

Donations to this campaign will be used to
1. Network and build partnerships with student/youth groups across the country,
2. Help new Revolution groups get started and connected with each other, and
3. Consult with people who have more experience in setting up the infrastructure needed for a national movement.
One of our primary goals is to influence both the primary and general elections in 2020, so the sooner we can raise funds the better.
