It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you for support during this difficult time. My beloved abuela has been in hospice care battling stage four pancreatic cancer for the past four months, and, sadly, her days are drawing near. Despite the challenges, she faced life with strength, resilience, and a giving heart.

Abuela, a hardworking woman, dedicated her life to others. She worked tirelessly until the age of 78, only to face the onset of dementia shortly after retiring. Her life insurance covers a portion of the funeral and burial costs, and we find ourselves in need of assistance to provide her with the farewell she deserves.

Abuela cherished life's simple joys—visits from grandchildren, calls from family and friends in Puerto Rico, reading the papers, and watching telenovelas on TV. She was selfless and giving even when she didn't have much herself, always opening her home to those in need.

In lieu of material possessions, Abuela valued the intangible moments that brought her joy. Now, as we navigate these challenging times, any contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact. Your support will help us honor her memory and provide the respectful farewell she deserves. I only hope she knows how much she is loved by all those around her.

Abuela will be buried at Holy Cross Cemetery near her parents, first born son, sister, and nephew.
