My name is David Penny; through my love of nursing animals and caring for your furry friends, I have spotted a gap in the market for a medical device that can help reduce patient stress and improve the treatment and care that they receive while in the vets. This medical device will also be available in the human healthcare market as there is also a problem here to be solved.

EaseSecure IV Catheter is an Intravascular catheter stabilization device designed to reduce catheter dislodgements and peripheral catheter-related phlebitis.

Phlebitis, clots and occlusions are caused by the inflammation of the tunica intima of your pet's superficial vein when the catheter is moving due to insecure catheters, which is very common. Dislodgements are also very common; this happens when your dog or cat moves in their kennel, when they are being brought out for a toilet break, recovering after a procedure or is being transferred from surgery to kennel. It can also happen when they are left alone at night and movement increases.

It is our mission to reduce healthcare costs, reduce repeated painful

needlesticks, reduce PIVC complications including dislodgements,

mechanical and bacterial phlebitis, reduce hospital-associated bloodstream infections leading to increased morbidity and mortality and save clinicians valuable time.

Over the past year, I have been working hard in the vets and designing the perfect product to solve this problem. I am now setting up a business to get this product to the market. We have successfully conducted R&D, completed several prototyping stages leading to quality product design, and market research, and built a website. I am participating in a New Frontiers program to help get this innovative device to the market.

Unfortunately, this is easier said than done; We need to raise vital funds to help get this product to the market and into Veterinary clinics/hospitals. EaseSecure IV Catheter needs help to cover costs such as manufacturing, obtaining CE marking and ensuring our device complies with safety and regulatory rules, and conduct clinical studies to prove product efficacy,
