Our mission is to increase access to veterinary care in Garfield County, Utah. Our goal is to create a non-profit clinic in Escalante that will have spay, neuter, vaccine and wellness services available with sliding scale fee options.

Phase 1: Goal $2750

Phase one includes the formation of a legally recognized nonprofit entity, ensuring compliance with both state and federal regulations. We are partnering with a firm that specializes in non-profit start-ups. We hope to complete this step by April 6th, 2024.

Phase 2: Goal $2000

This phase includes the creation of a board governance structure. This step ensures that we will have the policies and procedures in place that are necessary for operation integrity.

We hope to complete this step by April 20th, 2024.

Phase 3: Goal $2000

This phase includes the creation of our financial and accounting structure, and strategic plan to ensure that we will become a sustainable, successful organization that will bring necessary services to our community and provide economic development in more ways than one! We hope to complete this step by May 4th, 2024.

Phase 4: Goal $3250

This phase includes final consulting and legal fees associated with obtaining tax-exempt status, necessary software and technology, and other initial operational costs.

We hope to complete this step by May 18th, 2024.

If we reach our goals by the timeline stated above we will be able to open our clinic in early 2025!

The above steps will make it possible for us to apply for grant funding that will cover all of our medical equipment needs. We plan to apply for $37,500 in grant funding for facility renovations and $250,000 in grant funding for staffing needs.

Every dollar counts, and the sooner we reach our goal the sooner we will be able to provide services to our community. Our goal is to provide 1080 low cost spay/ neuter procedures and provide over 5000 pets with vaccinations in the first year. Get in touch with us to learn more about our plan!
