START OUR ANIMAL RESCUE
Donation protected
The day I saw Porsche, my first dog since not having a dog for a couple of years, my heart raced. I was nervous and thought she may not like me. Boy, was I wrong. She had never once met me but as soon as she saw me she bolted towards me. The rescuer said, "she's picking you!"
After that I was hooked on rescues. I got Rasta a year later from CHES. She was a terrified puppy that was dumped there because "they had too many". And thank goodness because she was abused and that was obvious.
We rescued Dobby out of neglect, covered head to toe in fleas and anemic. Then, we got Groot from a homeless camp and rehomed three of his siblings but kept him.
I got hooked up with a woman named Kelley who runs the Fraternity of the Four Paws in Rossville through social media and started fostering for her. I now have three lovely, adoptable dogs.
They absolutely love it on our four acres, but there is a problem! We have no room or money to help any more due to not having a building in which to keep them.
It breaks my heart because the need is so great. There are dogs being put to death daily here in GA simply because of over crowding.
My husband, Ryan, and I have decided that it would benefit the animals and the community if we start a rescue of our own.
Our vision starts with kennels and grows into a facility with dog beds, heating, cooling, a huge fenced in play area and an intake room as well as a few quarantine rooms.
All we need is a head start. The 501c3 is in progress. We will be a non-profit soon.
It's all for the dogs, cats and whatever other animals that need our help as well as the community.
We would like to expand further, adding two tiny homes to help two homeless individuals get back on their feet while earning a wage doing something they can be proud of. Sort of like the pits and parolees thing. But, that's a bit further down the road.
We will not house or help sex or violent offenders.
Thank you, if you have made it this far. These animals need us! Please consider donating to our rescue. Tails will wag in your honor! And any donors who help us get this thing started by donating to this GoFundMe or directly to us will have a brick engraved with their name facing the outside by the main entrance of our new building. No matter how small the donation. This is incredibly important to not just me, but these innocent animals who are suffering. The numbers are staggering and all of the shelters are full. We need this rescue for everyone.
Go bless y'all.
