Help Cooper Rebuild and Start Again
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cooper. I’m reaching out for support as I begin a new chapter of my life, one that I’ve fought hard to create.
Earlier this year, I left my home country due to threats to my safety and mental well-being. I left with a hope of building a safer, more stable future. While the transition has been anything but easy, I’ve found a sense of purpose here and a real chance at starting anew.
This September, I will begin a Master’s in Social Work with a focus on youth work. This program represents more than just a degree; it’s the foundation for a career that will allow me to give back, build community, and reclaim my independence.
But I’ve hit a major roadblock.
Because of my current immigration status, I am not allowed to work. I’ve stretched every dollar I had to get this far, and I’m now at a point where I cannot move forward without help. Becoming a student will allow me to legally work again and support myself—but only after I clear several urgent and costly hurdles.
Here’s what I need help covering:
- The student visa application and associated fees
- Background checks and legal paperwork
- Rent, food, and basic living costs while I wait for work eligibility
- Legal fees to pursue the return of a housing deposit unfairly withheld in California
This is not easy for me to ask. I’ve always been someone who gives, who shows up, who helps where I can. But now, I need help getting back on my feet.
If you’re in a position to donate or share, I would be incredibly grateful. Every bit of support brings me one step closer to stability, education, and a future where I can return to form.
Thank you
