Industrial Street Studios needs your support to transform an empty space into a thriving creative hub for artists of all ages and backgrounds!
We're on the verge of something extraordinary in the Gorge—a grassroots artist cooperative born from a community need and powered by local passion. What began as a conversation among artists in early 2024 seeking affordable workspace has blossomed into a comprehensive vision for Industrial Street Studios, housed in the historic Big 7 building in downtown Hood River.
After soliciting artist interest, creating a brand and vision, creating an organization and negotiating leases, we are launching our fundraiser to support the build out of this space! The organizers are seeking community support as we excitedly move into the next phase of our journey creating Industrial Street Studios.
Your contribution will help us raise $200,000 to build an accessible community arts space with:
- 20 semi-private studio spaces for local artists
- A vibrant community gallery to showcase our region's talent
- Flexible classroom space for workshops, skill-sharing, and events for all ages
- Communal work areas to foster collaboration and connection
- Essential storage solutions and furniture throughout the space
This isn't just about building walls—it's about dismantling barriers to creative expression in our community. Every dollar contributed helps construct a space where artists can afford to work, teach, learn, and grow together. Our community has already contributed countless hours of planning, expertise, and enthusiasm. Local designers and architects have volunteered their talents. Artists are ready to move in. Now we need your help to transform this empty space into the creative home our community deserves.
Join us in building something remarkable! Whether you're an artist seeking space, a community member who values local culture, or someone who believes in the power of creative communities—this project belongs to all of us. Let's make Industrial Street Studios a reality!
Contribute today and be part of creating a vibrant, accessible creative space that will enrich our community for years to come.
