My name is Lisa and im putting this fundraiser out there for help.
Yesterday (March 26th 2026) was one of the most scariest heartbreaking days of my life. Started out normal, had a friend stop by at 830am with a tea and quick chat at her car door and by 8:40am I was crawling on my stomach thru a total inferno trying to get to my 2 dogs inside the house. I found my (almost 8 yr old) mini pomeranian Dummer first and dragged her out of her hiding spot under the end table. Next I went back in 4 times through my front door trying to find my 3 year old chocolate lab Cocobean who I could hear crying. The glass was exploding all around me, and things falling on me, and the air was so thick and black and choking. I tried to run through the backdoor but flames were bursting roof high, and then I heard here in out bedroom, I grabbed a ladder to go through window as fire had not reached the bedroom, I got halfway thru window where I had my hand on her and she was shaking and scared and crying and I told her I was there. I had her, I finally found her. Then then I wasn't there halfway thru the window anymore, someone had pulled me back thru window and down to the sidewalk, she didn't make it. I had failed.
Yes everything else has burned to ash and nothing is left, and maybe your donations can help replace things needed. I won't replace Cocobean, or the pictures of my children or all the images of people long gone that can pose for more photos.
Every bit helps. I want to say thank you to the EMTs that helped me the best they could, the nurses who held me while I sobbed over my lost cocobean, the doctors to got me back, the police who were quick to protect, and last but certainly not the lease the Firefighters who were quick to arrive and try to save my home I just moved into on March 1st. They were amazing, the fire marshal Robert Kirk that stayed and talked me thru everything assuring me that this was in no way my fault from turning my my thermostat cause it was cold, and for the compassion her showed me when we talked about cocobean and assuring me (even if not hopeful) that even if I had got cocobean out she wouldn't have made it from all her smoke inhalation. The fire fighter retrieve her for me and she is resting in peace now.
Thank you
