I’m not the person to EVER ask for help, but right now my Nephew is fighting for his life and desperately needs whatever financial assistance you can possibly give!
Starr Pekelo Nakoa MacLay is the 30 year old Son of my Brother, Peter George MacLay and Rebecca Nakoa. On March 25th he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Testicular Cancer. It had already spread to his lungs, lymph nodes and brain.
He has no health insurance. And due to COVID-19, Medicaid and other services have not yet been approved.
After several rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, he developed severe pain and swelling in his shoulder and knee. On April 28th he was admitted to the ICU for thickening of his blood. He had a blood transfusion and was put on blood thinners and antibiotics for a lung infection and several painful cysts that had formed on his body. By April 29th he started to lose his vision, hearing and the use of his arms. On May 4th, MRI results confirmed another lesion on his brain that is bleeding. He was given platelets, but was told that the option of brain surgery would just be a temporary fix.
On May 6th Starr came home to live more comfortably with his Mother. He hopes to continue with chemotherapy and hasn’t given up faith that he will beat this!
PLEASE!! Any donation you can possibly give would be greatly appreciated.
