On Friday March 26, Starla’s mother, Cathy Jenkins, unexpectedly passed away. Cathy was the kindest ray of sunshine who loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world.
Starla also tragically lost her very missed brother, Jason, a little over 10 years ago. Other than her amazing husband and 3 beautiful children, Starla has very little remaining family members. Nonetheless, Starla has an army of life-long friends who have turned into family and will continue to support her through this terrible time.
To know Starla is to know a loyal, selfless warrior. The truest friend who would gladly go out of her way in case someone else needed her. She is the last person to accept any form of help, which has made this GoFundMe all the more difficult to create. Starla is a mother who puts her children before anything else. And now more than ever, Starla is a daughter who is mourning the loss of her parent.
I kindly ask you to keep Starla in your thoughts and prayers. As unbearable as the idea of sorting through funeral arrangement may be, no one should feel the worry of finances at a time like this. While no amount of contributions can ease the pain she is currently experiencing and although we cannot heal her broken heart, we can take some comfort in knowing we have done our best to help.
