What should have been a routine hysterectomy, turned into a medical nightmare and fight for survival. An outpatient procedure caused catastrophic injury requiring a lengthy ICU stay, resulting in loss of employment and health benefits during recovery. What we would discover later, is the surgeon was allowed to perform surgery - without malpractice insurance or proper certification. The hospital provided access to robotics that caused substantial injuries, requiring three life saving subsequent surgeries. We have since been stuck in a legal process that does not advocate for the patient, rather systemically protects the hospitals.

Using tactics, stalling cases, and loopholes to make the patient at fault for trusting the institutions has proven to be grotesque. This is why we are entering our fight pro se. To not only speak our truth, but give an opportunity to others to speak up as well.
