Dear friends and family
On 6.10.24 I lost someone incredibly dear to me my grandad who battled Alzheimer's and Dementia for 10 long and heart breaking years. To anyone who knew my grandad, he was the life and soul at a party, he always entered the room with a smile.
Watching him slowly fade away due to this cruel disease was one of the most painful experiences of my life Alzheimer's took so much from him and from our family his memories his ability to communicate and his sense of self.
In his memory I’ve decided to do something bold to raise awareness and support those still living with Alzheimer's On World Alzheimer's Day I will be taking part in a skydive and this leap is for my grandad for those who are suffering and for the families whose lives are forever altered by this devastating disease
This skydive may be a physical jump but it’s also a leap toward hope toward progress and toward a future where Alzheimer's no longer takes so much from families like mine. The money raised will go directly toward funding vital Alzheimer’s research that is desperately needed to find better treatments improve living conditions and ultimately find a cure. With every pound donated we can help improve the lives of those currently affected and give hope to the future generations who may face this devastating disease
We need more research to understand Alzheimer's to create new therapies and to improve the care and quality of life for those living with it. The funds raised from this skydive will directly benefit organisations that are working tirelessly toward these goals making life better for those suffering today and helping to ensure no one else has to experience the pain of losing a loved one in this way
This skydive will be a moment of honour a moment of remembrance and a step toward a future where Alzheimer's no longer has the power to take away the people we love. Together we can fund the future of Alzheimer's research and make a lasting impact for the generations to come
Thank you for reading for your love and for your generosity Every donation every share and every bit of support brings us closer to the future we all hope for a future without Alzheimer’s.
