Our Stanningley u16 Girls Rugby Team is raising money for Shared Harmonies & Our Team

Our Girls, Coaches & some parents, will Freeze for a Fiver in the ice baths, run and supported by Wild Minds Wellness.

Raising funds for our team, but also for a charity close to Nicky's heart, which makes it close to ours.

Nicky, one of our lovely mums has been diagnosed with a benign Meningioma, a brain tumour, which needs treatment.

Not only is Nicky going through this, she was also hit with Covid in September 2022. This resulted in Long Covid, which presents like ME/CFS, a chronic and complex disease. It has left Nicky with many symptoms including a Breathing Pattern Disorder, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and mobility issues. To help support symptoms, on days when Nicky can get out, she now uses a walking aid and wheelchair. She is unable to work and had to give up the job she loved as an Assistant Head Teacher and SENCo.

Nicky is being supported online by a charity called Shared Harmonies. This group support people with life- limiting illnesses, which affect their daily lives. They have been life changing for Nicky, not only to support breathing physio but to provide her with a support network and opportunity to meet and connect with others suffering with long covid too.
