Hello friends and family,

The Severson Family needs your help! The unthinkable happened on Friday, February 28th, when our beloved dog, Stanley, was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run right outside of our family home and left on the side of the road.

We rushed him to the emergency vet where we were told that both bones in his front leg were broken in two places with displaced fractures that will not heal on their own. It will require a complex surgery to save his leg. He had lung contusions, road rash, and a huge laceration to his neck and chest that required sutures and placement of a drain tube to prevent fluid accumulation and infection. We are so fortunate there was no internal organ damage.

Blindsided is an understatement when we were told that his pet insurance would not cover the emergency vet visit nor the surgery to fix it. It will cost us just over $10,000 in out-of-pocket expenses.

We’re asking for the help of our friends and family to get Stanley the surgery necessary to get him back to good health.

We’ve attached the invoices for full transparency. Any amount that you can give will be greatly appreciated more than we could ever convey.
