A local Encinitas family has been forever changed. On August 9, 2023, while away on an annual family vacation at Cross Lake, Minnesota, Stanley Wilson's life was tragically cut short during a cardiac arrest incident due to an undiagnosed heart condition while fishing. During his fourteen years, he touched many lives with his sense of adventure, his kindness, his determination to be good at what he loved and his love of his friends and family. His love for fishing, soccer, academics, his mom, his dad, sisters, family and friends was felt by all who knew him. Stanley's loss has left a hole in the hearts of us all.
