Stanley Bruce McConnell died on March 16th 2023. He was a good man who loved his family and his hometown of Magazine, AR. In his honor we his family have created the Stanley McConnell Memorial Scholarship Fund at First Western Bank in Arkansas.

This Go Fund Me is to allow anyone who is not in the area to donate to the Scholarship fund.

The scholarship will benefit a Magazine High School Senior who is entering a Technical School. In addition to being mayor for 16 years, Stanley also was a school board member for 8 years. In light of his commitment to the towns youth, we know he would love to give the opportunity for Magazine graduates to gain the education necessary to work in the trades.
