Help Stanley's Children With Funeral Expenses

Stanley Earl never wanted to be a burden to anyone.

He was a humble man who worked hard and enjoyed spending time with his four children whose ages are now twenty-one, eighteen,  and sixteen-year-old twins.

On March 1, 2021, at 3:31 A.M.,   Stanley quietly passed away at home with his oldest daughter,  Micheala, at his side. He was only 56 years old.

About six months ago,  Stanley told me he was sick.  He did not have health insurance because he was not able to afford it.  His priorities were providing food, shelter, and support for his children.

A few months later,  Stanley told me he could no longer eat and offered me some extra food he had at home.   I just brushed off the generous offer  and said, “Well,  you'll need it for when you get your appetite back.”   He said it was not coming back.  He said he was certain he had cancer.

After a trip to a local clinic on February 16, 2021,   the doctor confirmed his fears.  He had massive tumors in his stomach.  He had lost tons of weight.  He was referred to another specialty doctor,  but Stanley could not afford it.  He continued to work from home for Comcast.

To give you a bit of a background on this man…. Stanley loved to laugh. He could see the humor in things that others had grown too cynical to see.  He was a compassionate person and a good listener.  Whenever he would go shopping at his local Costco, he would be stalked by his fan club, who would chase him down to chat with him.  The same reaction happened at Best Buy and Staples, and Bed Bath and Beyond…Stanley knew everyone,  yet few people knew he was silently suffering inside.

Stanley was an advocate for others.  He led the Comcast Diversity Group to open discussions surrounding diversity in the workplace.  He advocated for women and people of color.

Stanley faced many injustices growing up,  but one of the biggest injustices he faced in New Hampshire was fighting for his children in the NH Court System.

Acting as his own attorney,  he was brought into litigation by a former spouse every six months over parenting time with his children.  All he wanted was to be with his children as much as possible. However, the other parent felt it best to litigate.

If it gives any indication of the battles he fought, the judge who presided over his parenting time hearings was arrested on February 11, 2021, and charged with felonies for judicial misconduct stemming from a separate but similar child custody case.

He just wanted more time with his children.  And his children wanted more time with him.

Stanley’s children are the only family he had in this area.  His extended relatives reside in Chicago and Washington state.

He never wanted to bother anyone with his problems or pain,  so as his friend of 10 years,  I am stepping in and asking if you will help lessen the financial struggles and anxiety his two barely adult daughters will face with the cost of his cremation and funeral expenses.

Micheala works in the food services industry but will have to find a way to afford the exorbitant local rent and condominium fees for the home she shared with Stanley in Nashua, NH.   It is a lot to handle while still processing the sudden death of her beloved father.

The 16-year-old twins, Malik and Mallika, live in Hudson, NH, with their mother.  They are shocked, devastated, and depressed, as you can imagine.

Any help would be appreciated.  It does not have to be exclusively financial.  His children have suffered a difficult loss.

Will you please help make sure that Micheala can cover her father’s cremation expenses and keep her siblings together so Stanley can rest peacefully,  knowing that his children will have a chance to survive and grow together as the family he had always wished they would be?

 Thank you.
