Stanley, dog found in Harriman State Park
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Danielle, and I am raising funds for Stanley. Stanley is at the Woodbury Animal Shelter and that is the only fortunate part of his sad story.
5/21 This adorable boy was found in Harriman State Park this afternoon and is now at the Woodbury Animal Shelter. He is extremely thin and seems to have been out on his own for a little while. He does not have any tags and is not microchipped. If you know anything about this dog or know who may be missing him, please call (845) [phone redacted] ext 8.
Please understand that we are looking for the owner at this point. There is a mandatory hold period for all impounded dogs. After the hold period, dogs get vaccinated, neutered and tested before they go up for adoption. If you are interested in adopting him if he goes up for adoption…. WAIT until he does before inquiring. We do not foster dogs out so that is not an option for him. *Proof of ownership and a valid dog license is necessary to claim a dog
5/24 Update on Stanley, the dog found in Harriman State Park on Saturday. Stanley is extremely thin, has multiple growths throughout his body and a large mass on his neck. We are pretty sure this boy was dumped but we probably will never know for sure. Stanley went to our vet on Monday and we are waiting for the results of all the testing that was done. Hopefully we will have some answers soon. We are praying that we can help this sweet boy and he can at get a home, even if he doesn’t have a lot of time left. We will keep you updated on the results of his tests, for now please keep Stanley in your prayers. The Woodbury Animal Shelter is located at 71 Schunnemunk rd Highland Mills. We are open everyday from 9-3. (845) [phone redacted] ext 8
