Even while facing pancreatic cancer our dear brother Dan remains larger than life.  Today as always Dan inspires us and lifts us up. In dark moments Dan has always pulled us to our feet and shined light on a path forward. Today Dan’s wit and wisdom continue to comfort and heal us.  Dan has a poet’s soul and a generous spirit, but make no mistake: with feet firmly on the ground, Dan loves to point out life’s humor, irony, and absurdity.  It’s all so sublime and silly and crude, and he knows it.          

Dan was diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, perhaps the most frightening challenge of his life. Dan and his loving family and friends have shared life’s challenges, its joys and sadness, celebrations and grief. Dan stood by us through all of these and we stand by him now as he begins treatment. We are raising a fund for Dan’s medical expenses.  It’s a small but meaningful gesture, a way to support him during this struggle, and a way to thank him for being part of our lives.
