While out of town, Malik experienced a sudden onset of symptoms and was taken to a hospital. The doctors there discovered Malik was experiencing organ failure. He is currently in the ICU.

Lisa flew out from Arizona immediately and is by Malik's side in California. 

They need emergency funds to pay for Lisa's meals and lodging, pet care, as well as longer term funds for the mortgage payment and other bills while Lisa and Malik are both out of work. They are currently unsure if the hospital is in network with their insurance.
