Stand with Roosevelt in His Battle with ALS
Donation protected
Roosevelt Lawson is a man whose life has been defined by strength, resilience, and an unshakable spirit. A proud graduate of Florida State University and former Seminole football player, Roosevelt’s grit, discipline, and heart both on and off the field have inspired everyone around him.
For the past 12 years, Roosevelt has dedicated himself to empowering others as a certified personal trainer and health advocate. He helped countless individuals transform their lives, prioritizing their health and discovering their inner strength. In 2017, the same year his son was born, Roosevelt began experiencing the early symptoms of ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)—a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. These early signs were subtle but life-changing, as ALS gradually robs individuals of their ability to move, speak, swallow, and eventually breathe. In 2021, Roosevelt received his official diagnosis, and he has been courageously fighting this battle ever since.
Now 38 years young, Roosevelt faces the most difficult fight of his life. Once a strong and vibrant 210 pounds, he now weighs 160 pounds due to the progression of the disease. Tasks that were once second nature—showering, getting dressed, and even performing the work he loves as a trainer—have become severely limited. These physical challenges have impacted his ability to care for himself and pursue the career that has been an integral part of his role as a provider for his family.
Despite the debilitating nature of ALS, Roosevelt refuses to surrender. With hope in his heart, he is actively seeking treatments in an effort for a breakthrough reversal, fighting not just for himself, but for his children and loved ones. ALS treatments and daily care are extraordinarily expensive, and we, Roosevelt’s family and friends, are coming together to organize this fundraiser to help our brother fight.
Our goal is to raise money to support Roosevelt’s ongoing medical treatments, therapies, and essential care. Every contribution will provide him with the resources he needs to continue this fight—helping him access the treatments that could offer hope, maintain his quality of life, and allow him to continue being present for his children.
ALS is relentless, but Roosevelt’s spirit is stronger. He is a father, a mentor, a brother, and a friend—a man whose light continues to shine, even in the face of unimaginable challenges. Together, we can rally behind him and provide the support he needs as he battles this cruel disease.
Your donation—no matter the size—means the world to Roosevelt and his family. It brings hope, strength, and the possibility of more time for him to fight, heal, and be the father and man he has always been.
Roosevelt Lawson’s story is one of courage, love, and the determination to keep pushing forward. Let us stand together, lift him up, and show him that he is not alone in this fight.
Every dollar counts. Every prayer matters. Let’s help our brother Roosevelt continue his fight.
