As many of you know, Morrisha, a union leader who is 8 months pregnant, was suspended last week the day we filed for NLRB election for not having a name tag. She was given no warning or chance to correct this minor uniform issue. A soon to be single mom, she is now on unpaid maternity leave with no idea of whether she will be allowed to come back to her job.
We have filed charges with the National Labor Relations Board and we have demanded that Burgerville end her suspension, give her back pay for hours missed, and provide paid maternity leave.
We know Burgerville has no plans to take these corrective actions. Burgerville pays us poverty wages, offers no paid maternity leave, schedules us for inconsistent hours, and represses workers who dare to dream of a better life.
Today, we are asking people to chip in and help us support Morrisha. We hope to be able to compensate her for her missed hours and provide some financial support during her unpaid maternity leave. Donate to support Morrisha in this fight for better wages and better lives.

Burgerville has a long history of retaliation against union members, especially targeting workers of color. We've filed (and won! ) Unfair Labor Practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board over this. Most recently, Mike, another worker of color, was fired from the Montavilla location .
