My name is Sean McCluskie and I am helping my friends, the Pinhancos family, in a time of need to help defray costs for medical treatment, travel, bills and adaptive equipment.
Juliana, a 7th grade honor student, ballerina, hockey, and soccer player, received a devastating diagnosis this past summer. What was once thought to be hip pain related to her athletic activities was actually a pelvic osteosarcoma. Juliana's rare and aggressive cancer has led her down the road of 9 rounds of chemotherapy and she will undergo an aggressive surgery on October 27 to remove the tumor and half of her pelvis. Following surgery, Juliana will endure inpatient rehabilitation and then outpatient rehab for 1-2 years, and will continue chemotherapy for the foreseeable future. With the help of her family and friends - her village - she has remained strong and positive. Both of her parents will be taking extended leaves from work to be with her during these grueling days. Our hope is to raise money to cover all travel costs, treatment and medical expenses during her fight in Boston. Please, if you are able, help my dear friend and his family by donating, liking and sharing.
100% of the funds raised beyond the expenses will be donated to support children and families facing the challenges of childhood cancer.
