Stand With Jimmie

Jimmie’s cancer journey started 11 years ago at St. Dominic Memorial Hospital in Jackson Mississippi. There he was advocated to visit MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. Jimmie and his family were making monthly visits to the cancer center by car. He was recently recommended to begin 30 days of radiation treatment, which will require he and his wife to remain in Houston for that period. Jimmie has been very blessed to have the loving support from family and friends. Your generous contribution will help defray the cost of travel, lodging and food for Jimmie and his family during their 30 day stay.

Jimmie Kennedy II is a man who walks and talks with God daily. He’s had a special relationship with the Lord his entire life. He is a man of distinction, when he was born, the Dr’s told his mother that there was something special him, he was going to bring her great joy. Jimmie is always sharing the word of God with people he meet, he always shares the message love and hope. When he was a child, he was barely 2 when he started mimicking the pastor’s Sunday message only to go home to recite the message to his grandmother. He’s always had a way with words. He’s even written a children’s book called, “A Little Smart.”

2 Corinthians 5:7 states, “For we walk by faith and not by sight.” For nearly 20 years, Jimmie has been a living testimony. Of those years, Jimmie was diagnosed 11 years ago with a rare type of brain cancer called Pituitary Carcinoma. Since January 2020, Jimmie started receiving treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, NY. When he was diagnosed with cancer, his Dr. told him to file for disability; he is now the Principal of D.C. Noblin at Hudspeth Regional Center. Within these years, Jimmie has had numerous surgeries and has been a part of countless clinical trials at MD Anderson in Huston, TX.

With continuous support from his family and friends, Jimmie continues to pray and have faith. Jimmie has been blessed with a devoted wife and a 6 year old daughter who the Dr. also said that he will not be able to have. Jimmie has exceeded the Dr’s scientific expectation of “why” and “how” is he still able to….. The God that Jimmie serves is bigger than the Dr’s diagnosis and He’s bigger than his cancer. Jimmie knows that “whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith” Matthew 21:22.

Jimmie’s love of God gives him the strength to work 2 jobs, be an active father, loving husband, son, brother, and friend. Jimmie is also an active church member and serves on different committees at church. Along with his family, Jimmie is a part of his parents ministry that host a annual Park-n-Wellness Health Fair in their local community. Jimmie knows that in life, you will face many challenges, he knows in order to be successful in getting through life situations, one must have continuous prayer. John 7:38 says, “whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
