Get Darren Mills Back on Both Feet!

Our dear friend, Darren Mills, has suffered some bad luck… He broke his FOOT!!! While he wishes he could brag about a heroic incident or an iron-man related injury, the story is sadly quite tame. Though still plenty painful!!!. During a short sit on his couch one morning, he suffered a foot cramp. When he attempted to stand, he put his weight on it in a fashion that fractured several foot bones. And yes, he fell over in a very undignified way. Ack! Now he must stay off his feet for EIGHT WEEKS! No, not catastrophic, but this IS a significant setback for him as he makes his living standing up! No income for two months and mounting medical bills… each day spent healing is another day of increased expenses without income.
Darren has been a vital and cherished part of Olympia for decades. He's been significantly involved in downtown improvement projects, local politics, and has championed and spearheaded efforts to support local artists by enriching our community through their art. Almost daily, Darren applies his talent as a stylist to make us all look and feel more beautiful. In addition, for the past 20 years (!!!!!), Darren has designed and created costumes for Harlequinn Productions. You probably saw his work recently in Little Shop of Horrors (another knockout). Not only has he fashioned beautiful costumes for dozens and dozens of shows, he has mentored many up-and-coming designers and seamsters throughout the years.
Darren Mills has devoted his time, his love, and his skills to making Olympia a better place. Let us rally to help him in his time of need. His achievements and his dedication benefit us and inspire us, and we can all agree that he's one of the most caring and generous people we know. Topped off with a wickedly wry sense of humor that makes him so much fun to be around.
Everybody!!! Let’s help Darren now so he can avoid allowing this medical situation to financially get out of hand. Every little bit helps and we’re looking to collect only what’s needed to cover medical bills plus meager living expenses until he’s healthy. Give what you can, and please pass this on to others who know Darren. Let’s get Darren back get on his feet!!!
