My Story

A few months ago, my life took an unexpected turn.

I had a good job at a large American multinational company. I worked hard, and I was consistently among the top performers in my team.

Then one meeting changed everything.

My manager had just been criticized by his own boss about how our team handled a specific task. During a meeting with the entire team present, he blamed us for the problem.

But the truth was different.

We were doing the task exactly the way he had instructed us to do it.

So I spoke up.

I explained that the team had simply followed the instructions we were given and that it wasn’t fair to put all the responsibility on them.

From that moment, things changed.

What followed was a period of increasing pressure and hostility at work. Eventually the situation affected my health and I had to take a short medical leave.

When I returned a few weeks later, I was dismissed.

Ironically, I had been one of the top 2–3 performers in the team, and I wasn’t the only one who struggled with that manager. At least six or seven of the strongest performers in a team of around forty eventually left because of similar issues.

If I had stayed silent during that meeting, I would probably still have my job today.

But sometimes doing the right thing has consequences.

Instead of letting that moment define me negatively, I decided to turn it into an opportunity to build something meaningful.

What I’m Working On

During this time I started working on several projects aimed at combining innovation and social impact.

A Mobile App

I’m currently developing a mobile app that I hope to launch soon.

A Social Cleaning Company

I want to create a cleaning company for offices and public spaces that hires people who often struggle to find work:

• migrants

• former addicts seeking a second chance

• former prisoners trying to reintegrate into society

• older workers who lost their jobs late in their careers

The goal is simple: create opportunities for people who are often excluded from the job market.

Free Drinking Water Initiative

Another project I’m developing is a system to distribute free cartons of drinking water in cities during the summer, when heat waves can be dangerous.

The cartons would include targeted advertising, and part of the revenue would help fund water wells in African communities that lack access to clean drinking water.

Why I’m Asking for Help

Right now I receive about €1,000 per month in unemployment benefits, which unfortunately is not enough to cover my basic living expenses.

Every month I need to use my savings just to get by.

This fundraising campaign is not about comfort or luxury.

It’s about buying time and freedom.

Time to continue building these projects instead of being forced to immediately return to a traditional job that would stop all of this work before it even has a chance to exist.

Losing my job was a difficult moment, but it also gave me the chance to rethink what I truly want to build.

Instead of immediately returning to the same path, I want to try to build projects that create opportunity, dignity, and positive impact.
