Hi, my name is Cassie Downes and my cousin Wesley Hughes ,who just turned 20, has been diagnosed with Testicular cancer that has spread to other places in his body. Wesley has been living in Michigan attending college and playing football, on a full scholarship he earned from many years of dedication to football. He is currently in the hospital in Michigan and just started his first round of chemotherapy yesterday. He has a long road ahead of him with chemotherapy ,radiation treatments and multiple tests.

Wesley' parents Teresa and Mike both have full time jobs here in WV. Mike is a midnight nursing Supervisor at WVU Reynolds and Teresa works as an Dental Hygenist for Dr. Palma. Wes also has a brother Ryan who will be traveling back and forth. They are going to be taking time off work and traveling to michigan to be there with Wes. Wesley is such an amazing young man who has such a bright future. Wesley has been such a BLESSING to all of us here in West Virginia!

It is our turn to bless him and his family ! We are looking to help raise money for traveling expenses, treatments, meals and anything else they may need during this very difficult time.
