Wesley is a 32-year-old husband, father, son, and friend who has always been the one showing up for others. He is a devoted dad to two little girls, ages five and two, and the steady foundation of our family. In recent months, our lives were unexpectedly turned upside down when what began as swollen lymph nodes led to a diagnosis we never anticipated.
After months of doctor visits, imaging, blood work, and biopsies, Wesley was diagnosed with Stage III-S classical Hodgkin lymphoma, with disease involvement in multiple lymph node regions in his neck, chest, and abdomen, as well as the spleen. The path to diagnosis was long and emotionally exhausting, including inconclusive early biopsies and escalating testing, before surgery finally provided definitive answers.
Because all pre-chemotherapy testing was completed quickly, Wesley began treatment sooner than expected. He has now completed Cycle 1 of 12 of the Nivo-AVD chemotherapy treatment planned over the course of six months. While the road ahead will not be easy, we are encouraged by his care team and remain hopeful as he continues treatment one cycle at a time.
In order to focus fully on healing, Wesley has had to step away from his job as a UPS driver during treatment. This was not an easy decision, but chemotherapy, recovery days, and side effects make continuing physically demanding work impossible right now. Our family is currently relying on one income while navigating rising medical bills, insurance costs, travel to appointments, medications, and everyday living expenses.
Despite everything, Wesley continues to face this chapter with remarkable strength, determination, and quiet resilience. Even on the hardest days, his focus remains on getting better and being there for his girls. We’ve explained to them in the simplest terms we can that Daddy has “blood boogers,” and the doctors are helping get them out. Their innocence keeps us grounded and reminds us why this fight matters so much.
This GoFundMe is meant to help relieve some of the financial pressure so our family can focus on what truly matters right now, healing, stability, and time together. Any support, whether through a donation, sharing this page, or simply sending encouragement, means more to us than we can put into words.
We believe deeply in Wesley’s ability to get through this. We are holding onto optimism, trusting the process, and taking this journey one step and one cycle at a time. Thank you for standing with our family during one of the most challenging seasons of our lives.
