Hello everyone,
My name is Morgen Rogers alongside me is Victoria Costabile-Elliott , and we are close friends and coworkers of Chantal Russell, as well as someone who has had the privilege of knowing her daughter, Victoria.
Chantal, Victoria and I have worked together at Active Learning Center for the past three years. She is currently at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she remains by Victoria’s side and is unable to work at this time. Chantal is an incredible mother and is in our opinion one of the most hardworking employees at Emmaus Active Learning Center. She is well known and deeply loved by the students and families at the Emmaus location. Whenever she is away, she is constantly asked about, along with updates on how Victoria is doing.
During this incredibly difficult time, any donation—no matter the amount—would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way in supporting Chantal and Victoria.
Below is more information about Victoria’s story. Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and prayers.
Victoria’s Story
Victoria Russell is a beautiful 10-year-old girl who has been diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia and autoimmune hepatitis, along with recurring episodes of pancreatitis. Her body is currently attacking her liver, which has resulted in liver failure.
Victoria is intelligent, kind, loving, and full of light. Unfortunately, she has not been able to experience many of the things children her age normally enjoy—such as ballet, traveling, playing with friends, or fully participating in school. Much of her young life has been spent in hospitals, receiving IV nutrition, multiple blood transfusions, managing pain crises, and undergoing procedures related to both her sickle cell disease and advanced liver condition.
Victoria is currently on the liver transplant list and remains hospitalized due to severe liver complications. She continues to receive IV nutrition, as she is unable to tolerate food normally at this time.
With gratitude,
